Schedule of charges – year ended 30 June 2026

At its August meeting, the Board set the charges for the year ended 30 June 2026, and the anticipated billing cycles as follows. All accounts are payable within 30 days of invoice. Failure to pay outstanding amounts could result in action being taken by CLIS, including a suspension of water.

*Asset Renewal Levy (ARL) - The requirement to charge an Asset Renewal Levy is a condition imposed on the operating agreement with the then Rivers and Water Commission (now Tasmanian Irrigation) in return for the ongoing access and use of the underlying channels and other infrastructure owned by the Government. This amount is collected by the Scheme from Irrigators and then paid over to Tasmanian Irrigation.

As with all Irrigation Schemes in Tasmania, the Asset Renewal Levy is intended to create a fund to cover, or at least to assist with, the future refurbishment and replacement of major irrigation scheme infrastructure.

Moneys paid to Tasmanian Irrigation is held by them in a dedicated reserve and can only be used for renewing CLIS scheme assets.
